Jimmy Wendell scored four goals, including the decisive marker with 7:24 remaining in the fourth quarter to rally East Brunswick in the first round of the NJSIAA/Investors Savings Bank Group 4 tournament in East Brunswick. East Brunswick trailed 7-5 at the start of the fourth quarter but was powered by a pair of goals from Wendel as well as two goals from Matt Brenner, who finished with three goals for the game. Mike Summerer chipped in with two goals and two assists and John Henry Glascock stopped 15 shots for East Brunswick (7-10). Brian Yip and Tom Cotroneo each scored twice for Clifton (8-9).
May 9, 2011 – East Brunswick lost 10-3 to St. Joseph boys lacrosse in the Greater Middlesex Conference semifinal match. East Brunswicks Jared Lynch recorded a hat trick for his second straight GMCT game. Milton Kohlhepp had a goal and an assist for the Bears 6-9.
Jared Lynch tallied three goals and three assists while leading the fifth-seeded East Brunswick High School boys lacrosse team to a 12-6 Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament quarterfinal victory over fourth-seeded Old Bridge on Saturday.The Bears, who received two goals from Shane Michiven, will play at top-seeded St. Joseph in Tuesdays semifinal.
