East Brunswick scored an impressive victory over a highly ranked St Joseph team. East Brunswick started out slow and quickly fell behind by 10 points at the end of the first quarter. With a stingy defense and a great deal of hustle, East Brunswick managed to reduce the gap to 24-20 at the half. A surge by East Brunswick at the start of the second half resulted in a tied game 24-24, but East Brunswick started missing shots and St Joseph landed a three pointer and a couple of foul shots to open the lead back up. It looked like St Joseph was going to pull away, but East Brunswick got really agressive on defense swarming all over whoever had the ball. They got several turnovers and started closing the gap. With only a few minutes remaining, Travis Heilman landed a three point play to put East Brunswick ahead for the first time at 41-40. With great ball handling and perfect foul shooting, East Brunswick was then able to put the game away. Scoring for East Brunswick were: John McLaughlin (11 points), Eric Eckhardt (15 points), Andrew Golczewski (11 points), Travis Heilman (9 points) and Matt Gases (2 points). East Brunswick is now 7-4 for the season.
