2005 Bears Invitational Tournament - December 29, 2005

East Brunswick placed second out of 12 teams in the 2005 Bears Invitational Tournament, losing to Bishop Ahr by 1/2 of a point. Sergio Garcia (160) was the last East Brunswick wrestler to compete and had he pinned his opponent, it would have tied the score, but Sergio won by a technical fall instead. Sergio was awarded the 'Outstanding Wrestler' for the upper weight classes. Matt Ackerman (119) was the only other East Brunwick wrestler to win his weight class defeating fellow Bears wrestler Nick Paribello in the finals. Nick Pariabello and Mike Corona both got second place finishes for East Brunswick. Full results are posted on the East Brunswick wrestling site.
