May 23, 2006 - Sayreville77, East Brunswick 63


Jeremiah Lachaud of East Brunswick placed 1st in the 100 Meters with a time of 11.3; Justin Koodish of East Brunswick placed 1st in the 800 with a time of 2:07.2; Phil Koller of East Brunswick won the 1600 with a time of 4:50.9. Chris Williams of East Brunswick won the 3200 with 10:58. The 400 hurdles was won by Mike L'Hurex of East Brunswick in 1:03.2. Syzmon Bykowski won the pole vault with 11'6 for the Bears. Tom Correa of East Brunswick placed first in shot put with a throw of 44-2 1/2. East Brunswick is 4-4 for the season.

May 22, 2006 - Boys East Coast Relays


In their final race together as a relay team, Justin Granit, Yannick Wood, Dan Gilbert and Eric Sorkin, crushed their own school record of 18:08.67 in the 4X1600 with a new school record of 17:51.77. This time was also good enough to place the team first in the 36th annual East Coast Relays!

May 16, 2006 - East Brunswick 83, Edison 57

East Brunswick boys track team were able to savor a victory on Senior Night at East Brunswick. Jeramiah Lachaud of East Brunswick won the 100 in 11.1 and the 200 in 22.5. John Iko won the 400 for East Brunswick in a time of 53.0. Yannick Wood won the 800 in 1:59.5 for the Bears. Justin Granit won the 1600 in 4:42 for East Brunswick. The 3200 was won by Eric Sorkin of East Brunswick with a time of 10:30. Phil Morris won the 110 hurdles in 16.3 for the Bears. Matt Blanar of East Brunswick won the 400 hurdles in 1:01. Szymon Bykowski of East Brunswick won the pole vault with an 11-0 effort. Yaw Sakyi jumped 21.7 to win the long jump for East Brunswick. Shaun Black won the shot put with a throw of 41-3 for the Bears. East Brunswick is 4-3 for the season.

May 13, 2006 - Greater Middlesex Conference Championships


Jeremiah Lachaud of East Brunswick placed 1st in the 100 Meters with a time of 11.25; Justin Granit got second place for East Brunswick in the 1600, narrowly losing to Matt Ciambriello of Old Bridge. East Brunswick's Eric Sorkin just missed getting first place in the 3200, his time of 9:46.74 was just short of Spotswood's Brad Schepise's time of 9:46.62.

May 9, 2006 - South Brunswick 114, East Brunswick 26


Jeremiah Lachaud of East Brunswick placed 1st in the 100 Meters with a time of 10.9; East Brunswick's Mike L'Heureux won the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.0. East Brunswick is 3-3 for the season.

April 29, 2006 - Penn Relays


East Brunswick's 4X800 relay team placed 11th in the Penn Relays with a time of 8:00.48. This same team set a new school record in the heats where they ran in a time of 7:51.94. Congratulations to Justin Granit, Yannick Wood, Dan Gilbert and Eric Sorkin on this tremendous accomplishment!

April 25, 2006 - East Brunswick 80, Perth Amboy 60

East Brunswick had an unscheduled combined meet with boys and girls which came off very smoothly. Jeramiah Lachaud of East Brunswick won the 100 in 11.1 and the 200 in 22.9 and the long jump with a jump of 19-9. Justin Koodish won the 800 in 2:05 for the Bears. Phil Koller won the 1600 in 4:58 for East Brunswick. The 3200 was won by Chris Williams of East Brunswick with a time of 11:40. Phil Morris won the 110 hurdles in 16.2 for the Bears. Matt Blanar of East Brunswick won the 400 hurdles in 60.8. The high jump was won by Vinny Quaglieri for East Brunswick with a jump of 5-6. Dan O'Sullivan won the pole vault with an 11-6 effort. Yaw Sakyi jumped 37-4 to win the triple jump for East Brunswick. Tommy Correa of East Brunswick won the discus with a 107 foot throw. Dave Methner of East Brunswick won the Javelin throw with a toss of 126 feet. East Brunswick is 3-2 for the season.

April 20, 2006 - East Brunswick 75, St. Joseph's 65

It came down to the very end, but when East Brunswick placed 1st and 2nd in the Pole Vault, the Bears wrapped up the meet. Jeremiah Lachaud of East Brunswick placed 1st in the 100 Meters with a time of 11.5 and in the 200 meters with 22.5; Justin Granit won the 800 for East Brunswick in 2:00; Dan Gilbert won the 1600 for the Bears with a time of 4:45; Eric Sorkin won the 3200 for East Brunswick in 10:22; Mike L'Heureux won the 110 Hurdles (16.5) for East Brunswick. The Pole Vault was won by Dan O'Sullivan of East Brunswick with a jump of 11-6. East Brunswick is 2-2 for the season.

Jeremiah Lachaud of East Brunswick placed 1st in the 100 Meters with a time of 10.6 and in the 200 meters with 21.4; Adam Cesanek (EB) won the 800 (2:05.2) and Chris Williams (EB) won the 1600 with 4:56.6. Dan Gilbert won the 3200 for the Bears in 10:54.1. The Pole Vault was won by Dan O'Sullivan of East Brunswick with a jump of 11-6. East Brunswick is 1-2 for the season.

April 11, 2006 - East Brunswick 72, J.P. Stevens 58


Jeremiah Lachaud of East Brunswick placed 1st in the 100 Meters with a time of 11.0 and in the 200 meters with 23.0 seconds as well as the long jump with 19'11"; Justin Koodish of East Brunswick placed 1st in the 400 with a time of 54.0; Eric Sorkin placed 1st in the 800 (2:04.6) and Dan Gilbert won the 1600 with 4:46. Yannick Wood won the 3200 for the Bears in 9:55. In high jump, Vinnie Quaglieri won with 5-8 for East Brunswick. Syzmon Bykowski won the pole vault with 10'0 for the Bears. Shaun Black place first in shot put with a throw of 40-1 3/4. East Brunswick is 1-1 for the season.

April 4, 2006 - Old Bridge 91, East Brunswick 49

East Brunswick's Eric Sorkin won the 3200 and Dan O'Sullivan won the Pole Vault with a jump of 10 feet! The Triple jump was won by Yaw Sakyi of East Brunswick.

East Brunswick placed 3rd in the 4X100, 4th in the 4X200, 3rd in the 4X800, 1st in the Sprint Medley (Yaw Sakyi, Yannick Wood, Jeremiah Lachaud, Justin Granit), 1st in the Distance Medley (Eric Sorkin, Justin Kordish, Yannick Wood, Justin Granit), 3rd in the Shuttle Hurdles and 5th in the triple jump.
