May 20, 2006 - Greater Middlesex Tournament First Round - East Brunswick 11, South Amboy 0
East Brunswick powered past South Amboy with 18 hits in a first round victory. Gina Pensavalle threw a one hitter, while striking out 9 with no walks. She also contributed a two run double. Dre Blanar was 3-4 with two doubles. Lindsay Bruno and Kim Staub also had a doubles for the Bears. East Brunswick is now 9-10 for the season.
May 18, 2006 - East Brunswick 4, Monroe 1
East Brunswick was in a tight game against Monroe that was still 0-0 at the start of the sixth inning. Monroe scored a run in the top of the sixth, but East Brunswick came right back and tied the game when pinch-hitter Ciara Ablauf led off with a bunt and scored when Lindsay Bruno hit a double. The game was then locked up when freshman Alyssa McCulloch came up to bat with two outs and blasted a two run double. Amanda Singer was the winning pitcher with 11 strike outs, three walks and only one hit. East Brunswick is now 10-10 for the season.
May 12, 2006 - East Brunswick 10, Shore Regional 1
East Brunswick got back on track with a resounding victory over Shore Regional. The first inning was highlighted by a three run double by Alyssa McCullock who later added an RBI single in the fifth. Linday Bruno had two hits, including a double and scored three times. Gina Pensavalle pitched 6 innings and only gave up 1 run and 4 hits while striking out four. East Brunswick is now 8-10 for the season.
May 10, 2006 - Colonia 6, East Brunswick 4
The score was tied 1-1 in the fifth inning when Colonia got a grand slam home run from Kate Pischetola to break the game open as part of a five run inning. East Brunswick tried to come back, scoring 3 runs in the last two innings, but it was not enough. East Brunswick senior Gina Pensavalle went 2 for 4 with a triple and two runs. Melanie Morrison hit a two run triple and a sacrifice fly. Lindsay Bruno hit a double for East Brunswick. Amanda Singer was the pitcher for the Bears. East Brunswick is now 7-10 for the season.
May 9, 2006 - J.P. Stevens 4, East Brunswick 1
East Brunswick tied the game at 1-1 when Marrissa Dellavalle was walked with the bases loaded in the fifth inning, but that was all the scoring they could manage and the Hawks scored 3 runs in the bottom of the sixth to pull ahead for keeps. East Brunswick is now 7-9 for the season.
May 5, 2006 - Sayreville 2, East Brunswick 0
East Brunswick couldn't quite get enough offense to support senior pitcher Gina Pensavalle who gave up only two runs on nine hits while striking out 5 against a strong Sayreville team. The game was tied at 0 into the sixth inning, when Sayreville scored what proved to be the winning runs. East Brunswick looked like they might come back when they had two runners on base in the seventh inning, but they couldn't bring any of them home. Lindsay Bruno went 2 for 3 for the Bears. East Brunswick is now 7-8 for the season.

May 3, 2006 - East Brunswick 7, Perth Amboy 0
East Brunswick evened their season record with solid wins in both games of a double header against Perth Amboy. Amanda Singer pitched her second straight shutout game in game two. East Brunswick is now 7-7 for the season.
May 3, 2006 - East Brunswick 10, Perth Amboy 2
East Brunswick was powered by a three run blast by Lindsay Bruno with two outs in the second inning. Senior pitcher Gina Pensavalle struck out 9 batters while walking none. Dee Nicosia went 3 for 3 with two runs and two RBI for the Bears. East Brunswick is now 6-7 for the season.
May 1, 2006 - East Brunswick 10, Piscataway 0
East Brunswick got back on the winning track in a big way. Junior pitcher Amanda Singer had her first shutout, while giving up only 4 hits, striking out 9 with no walks. Lindsay Bruno went 3 for 4 at the plate and got things off to a great start with a three run home run in the first inning. Sheena McCarthy had two hits. Alyssa McCullough got a double for the Bears. East Brunswick is now 5-7 for the season.
April 28, 2006 - South Brunswick 5, East Brunswick 3
East Brunswick was up by 1 with one out in the top of the seventh inning when Courtney Breeze spoiled things for the Bears with a three run blast to put South Brunswick up by 2. Michelle DeMarzo hit a two run single in the second inning and Kim Staub drove in the third run with a single in the fifth inning. East Brunswick is now 4-7 for the season.
April 26, 2006 - Edison 3, East Brunswick 2
East Brunswick was up by 2 when Edison hit a 3 run homer with 2 outs in the bottom of the sixth. Lindsay Bruno was 3 for 3 with an RBI. East Brunswick is now 4-6 for the season.
April 25, 2006 - Old Bridge 5, East Brunswick 2
Old Bridge got off to a fast start, scoring 2 runs in the first, two in the second and their final run in the third inning. East Brunswick got one run in the second and weren't able to add another until the sixth. East Brunswick got a double from Morrison. East Brunswick is now 4-5 for the season.
April 21, 2006 - Bishop Ahr 4, East Brunswick 3
East Brunswick's junior pitcher Amanda Singer, in only her second start, had an incredible day, striking out 19 batters and only allowing 5 hits in the first 8+ innings. Unfortunately, Maureen Sharlow spoiled things for Amanda Singer and East Brunswick by blasting a 3 run walk off home run in the bottom of the 9th. East Brunswick is now 4-4 for the season.
April 20, 2006 - East Brunswick 1, J.P. Stevens 0
East Brunswick pitcher Gina Pensavalle not only pitched a nearly flawless game, but she knocked in the games only run with a two our single in the first inning which scored Dee Nicosia. In the forth inning, Kim Shjarback hit a triple for J.P. Stevens and tried to score on a suicide squeeze, but Gina Pensavalle flipped the ball to catcher Dre Blanar who got the out. East Brunswick is now 4-3 for the season.
April 18, 2006 - Sayreville 3, East Brunswick 0
East Brunswick's Gina Pensavalle gave up three runs in the first inning and then pitched six straight shut out innings, but that wasn't enough when Amanda Olender of Sayreville pitched a full game no-hitter. The Bears threatened in the end off a walk and an error, but couldn't quite pull it off. East Brunswick is now 3-3 for the season.
April 11, 2006 - Carteret 2, East Brunswick 0
East Brunswick just could not hit Carteret pitcher Danielle Zanzalari who allowed just 3 hits on the day. Gina Pensavalle also pitched great, but still ended up with the loss. East Brunswick is now 3-2 for the season.
April 10, 2006 - East Brunswick 14, Piscataway 2
East Brunswick had a 7-2 lead going into the top of the 7th when they blasted Piscataway for 7 runs. Amanda Singer allowed only two runs on 5 hits while striking out 8 for the victory. Dre Blanar was 3 for 4 on the day. East Brunswick is now 3-1 for the season.
April 6, 2006 - South Brunswick 8, East Brunswick 4
East Brunswick got off to a good start when they broke South Brunswick's pitcher Sara Steepy's streak of 15 consecutive shut out innings by scoring two runs in the second inning, but South Brunswick scored 3 in the third and never looked back. Sheena McCarthy and Lindsay Bruno both hit doubles. Gina Pensavalle and Marissa Dellavalle both went 2-4 for the Bears. East Brunswick is now 2-1 for the season.
April 4, 2006 - East Brunswick 2, Edison 1
East Brunswick came from behind in dramatic fashion to beat Greater Middlesex Conference rival Edison at East Brunswick High School. With two outs in the 5th inning, Gina Pensavalle, the Bear's pitcher was up to bat. She worked out a walk and was followed by first baseman Alyssa McCullough who got a single. Outfielder Sheena McCarthy then bashed a two run single to put the Bears ahead to stay. Pensavalle also had a solid day pitching, with five strickouts, no walks, and only seven hits for 1 run. East Brunswick is now 2-0 for the season.
April 1, 2006 - East Brunswick 4, Old Bridge 2
East Brunswick got a strong performance from pitcher Gina Pensavalle who pitched a complete game two hitter, striking out 6 and walking none. The Bears got out to a 3 run lead which featured a one run homer by Lindsay Bruno. In the fourth inning Old Bridge got back into the game when following a base hit, Krystal Diaz hit a line drive into left field for a home run. In the top of the 7th, East Brunswick got tricky and stole a run by having a running at second get into a pickle so that the runner on third could steal home.
