Bryan Pasichow then scored to bring East Brunswick to within 2, but two more South Brunswick scores, including a goal with 3 seconds left in the half, made for a somber half time for the Bears. South Brunswick pushed the score to 8-2, before East Brunswick was able to score 3 of the last four goals to make the final score 9-5. Scoring for East Brunswick were: Mike Corona(2), Andrew Mariani(2) and Bryan Pasichow. Nick Fusco had two assists for East Brunswick. Bears goalies Ray Lanzi (9 saves) and Luke Zabel (13 saves) played very well, despite giving up 9 goals.
