October 18, 2006: South Plainfield 3, East Brunswick 2 (2OT)
East Brunswick lost an epic struggle against South Plainfield in double overtime. East Brunswick scored first with a goal from Kaitlyn Popiak. South Plainfield came back with goals from Kara Thomas and Brittany Hollis. Jessica Todoroff scored to tie the game up. There was then 45 minute of scoreless play before Brandee Brown of South Plainfield finally managed to score the winning goal. East Brunswick goalie Michelle Epstein had 10 saves. East Brunswick is now 9-7 for the season.October 16, 2006: East Brunswick 3, Piscataway 1
Ann Kent put East Brunswick out in front with a goal in the first half. Jessica Todoroff added to her all-area scoring lead with her 15th goal of the season in the second half. East Brunswick bounced back from their loss against South Plainfield with a solid victory over Piscataway. Kaitlyn Popiak scored the first goal for East Brunswick in the first half. Jessica Todoroff scored two goals in the second half for the Bears. Stephanie Holton also scored in the second-half. Jessica Todoroff, Christina Kmiecik, Patrice Resch, and Illana Mal all had assists for East Brunswick. Goalie Michelle Epstein had six saves in the shutout. East Brunswick lost a heart breaker to South Plainfield who came from behind to beat them. Both South Plainfield and East Brunswick were coming off a loss, for the Bears, it followed a five game winning streak. East Brunswick's goals came from Jessica Todoroff and Andrea Kent. Patrice Resch and Christina Kmiecek had assists for the Bears. Goalie Carly Weinreb had 12 saves for the Bears. East Brunswick fell behind 2-0, but Patrice Resch scored her first goal of the season early in the second quarter with an assist by Stephanie Holton. The Bears were unable to close the gap further and a third goal by Wayne put the game out of reach. East Brunswick is now 5-2 for the season.

In the first meeting since the 2005 GMC championship game, East Brunswick came out strong and won their fourth straight win. Stephanie Holton and Jessica Todoroff each scored two goals for East Brunswick. Patrice Resch had two assists for the Bears. East Brunswick fell behind South Brunswick in the first half when Jen Sisco scored a goal for the Vikings. East Brunswick exploded for two goals in the second half, just 38 seconds apart. Christina Kimiecik scored first, with an assist from Stephanie Holton. The game winner just seconds later was scored by Anne Kent also with an assist from Stephanie Holton. East Brunswick bounced back from their opening loss with a strong showing against Westfield. East Brunswick got goals from Caitlyn Popiak, Jessica Todoroff and Stephanie Holton. East Brunswick started off their season with a tough loss to Metuchen in overtime. Jessica Todoroff had scored two goals, for the Bears, but they still trailed Metuchen 3-2. For the last two minutes of regulation, East Brunswick was right down in front of Metuchen's goal, but with just seconds remaining Stephanie Holton scored a goal on a penalty corner to tie the game. Myriam Coulibaly of Metuchen scored with 7:23 left in overtime to end the contest. East Brunswick is now 0-1 for the season.
