Randall Nixon had another big night for East Brunswick, running for two touchdowns and throwing for another. Randall Nixon opened the scoring in the second quarter with a 57 yard run. Ryan Ross made the extra point to give East Brunswick a 7-0 lead. North Brunswick quickly struck back with a 24 yard run by Lavarr Molina. After the Bears were called for a penalty in blocking the extra point, North Brunswick was successful in a two point conversion to take the lead 8-7. East Brunswick got back the ball after a North Brunswick fumble and a 27 yard touchdown catch by fullback Sergio Garcia put East Brunswick up 13-8 at the half. Late in the third quarter, the Bears had to score a touchdown, but one ref overruled the other and the ball was instead placed on the 1 foot line. Randall Nixon kept it himself and powered up the middle for the final score of the game. North Brunswick mounted a drive near the end of the game, but Russel Dubov got an interception to pretty much lock up the game. With this victory, East Brunswick improves to 4-4 for the season.
