March 4, 2005 - Township asks developer to scale back Meyer's shopping center plans
The East Brunswick Planning Board asked Thomas Pagano, president of Pagano Real Estates Inc., to scale back his plans for Summerhill Square which will be built on the site of the old Meyer's shopping center. The next hearing on Summerhill Square is scheduled for April 13.

December 13, 2004 - Negotiations on Route 18 Property Extended to Feb 28, 2005
The township council agreed to use funds earmarked for the Heavenly Farms purchase to fill a $4 million budgetary shortfall caused by unresolved redevelopment negotiations for the Golden Triangle site, currently home to Sam's Club.

November 5, 2004 - Brunswick Square Mall Expansion
Brunswick Square Mall is planning an expansion that would add 22,350 square feet of retail space
on the side facing Route 18. The new space would have access from the outside and would provide move of a
downtown look to the mall.
November 4, 2004 - Board Begins Hearings on Summerhill Square
Pagano Real Estate Inc. which plans to redevelop the mostly vacant Route 18 Plaza testified before the board
on Oct. 28. The new retail center which is to be called Summerhill Square, will have a Main Street feel
to it with smaller stores, sidewalks with brick pavers, benches, landscaping and wide sidewalks. The shopping
center is expected to include up to 20 businesses.

February 12, 2004 New Homes being built off Dutch Road Approval was granted for a new development of 8
single family homes in East Brunswick on the east side of Dutch Road,
south of Fresh Ponds Road.
These homes will start at about $650,000. The developer will maintain 19 acres as open space.

February 12, 2004 New Homes off Fresh Ponds RoadJudge James Hurley in state Superior Court overturned
the East Brunswick Planning Board' 7-2 vote against the 56 home Tamarack Hollow
development in the environmentally sensitive Fresh Ponds road area. The judge instructed
the developer to seek state Board of Public Utilities and Department
of Environmental Protection approvals for the development.

January 1, 2004 Township seeking proposals on redevelopment of Sam's club shopping center
Developers have until March 15 to submit proposals to the township in hopes of redeveloping the
Township owned 32-acre property that currently includes Sam's Club, the Route 18 Market and the
Transportation and Commerce Center park-and-ride. Councilman David Stahl has indicated that it
is very early in the process and that it is too early to tell exactly how the site will be
developed.

November 25, 2003 East Brunswick - Six Acre Zoning upheld
Superior Court Judge James P. Hurley upheld a six-acre zoning ordinance that is
designed to slow development in the township's southwestern section.
Under the current regulations approximately 400 homes could be built in the 6.3 sq mile
area instead of 1400 homes without the regulations.
