Dickey’s Barbecue Pit — the nation’s largest barbecue chain – will open its first New Jersey location, in East Brunswick, today.
Never heard of Dickey’s? Well, the Dallas-based barbecue chain has almost 500 restaurants in 42 states, and slow-cooks all meats onsite. There are home-style sides — and free ice cream with every meal. And kids eat free on Sundays. Can’t beat that.
The East Brunswick restaurant, at 77 Tices Lane, opens at 11 a.m. today; the first 50 guests will receive gift cards worth up to $50.
On Friday, radio station 92.3 AMP will be onsite from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and one lucky winner will win a $500 gift card, with three winners earning free barbecue for a year.
On Saturday, guests can score Dickey’s merchandise with all-day giveaways.
"It’s exciting to see our footprint extended to New Jersey,” said Roland Dickey Jr., CEO of Dickey’s. "Barbecue is gaining popularity across the country and throughout the East Coast.”
EastBrunswickInfo Comment: I just had lunch at a Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Detroit last week and it was excellent – glad to hear one is opening in East Brunswick!
