East Brunswick had a battle on their hands against Scotch Plains. The game was tied at 1-1 at the end of regulation. Monica Farag scored the winning goal in double overtime with a serve into the box from Naomi Stahl. Melissa Demko gave the Bears a 1-0 lead by scoring a goal at the 49th minute with an assist from Shannon Mastrogiovanni. Allie Hambleton from Scotch Plains tied the game to force the overtime. Alyssa Sotomayer had six saves for East Brunswick. East Brunswick is now 1-0 for the season.
